Meet Miranda
Team Leader Support Coordination & Psychosocial Recovery Coaching
With more than 13 years of experience across community and human services, Miranda is a highly accomplished disability and community services professional who brings exceptional depth of experience in Specialist Support Coordination, complex case management, advocacy and multidisciplinary collaboration. Recognised for her ability to bring clarity, direction and momentum to challenging situations, Miranda combines strategic thinking, sound professional judgement and genuine empathy to achieve meaningful outcomes for participants and the teams she supports.
As Team Leader for New South Wales at Wellspace Australia, Miranda leads a team of Support Coordinators, Specialist Support Coordinators and Psychosocial Recovery Coaches, providing day-to-day leadership, mentoring, professional guidance and practice oversight while maintaining her own participant caseload. Drawing on her extensive frontline experience, she supports practitioners to navigate complexity with confidence, strengthen their professional capabilities and consistently deliver high-quality, participant-centred services.
Miranda's expertise is particularly valuable where participants face multiple and intersecting challenges, fragmented service systems, complex stakeholder relationships or significant barriers to accessing appropriate supports. She has extensive experience facilitating complex case conferences, leading multidisciplinary discussions and bringing together participants, families, health professionals, service providers and other stakeholders to establish clear responsibilities, coordinated action and sustainable pathways forward.
What distinguishes Miranda is her ability to see the bigger picture without losing sight of the individual. She is skilled in identifying the underlying barriers preventing progress, navigating competing priorities and bringing structure to situations where services may be disconnected or outcomes have stalled. Her calm, confident and solutions-focused approach helps build trust, resolve challenges and keep everyone working towards the participant's goals, safety, independence and quality of life.
Her background in counselling and community services brings further depth to her practice. Miranda understands the importance of recognising emotional, social and systemic factors alongside disability-related support needs, and takes a person-centred, recovery-oriented and culturally responsive approach that respects each participant's circumstances, choices and aspirations.
Miranda holds a Diploma of Counselling and Diploma of Community Services, is an ACA Registered Counsellor and is currently completing a Bachelor of Social Work. Her combination of practical experience, professional qualifications and continued learning brings a valuable perspective to complex decision-making, professional development and quality service delivery.
As a leader, Miranda is committed to building a team culture grounded in trust, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. She is passionate about sharing knowledge, developing practitioner confidence and supporting team members to strengthen their skills, professional judgement and ability to achieve positive outcomes, while maintaining the high standards of participant-centred practice that underpin Wellspace Australia.
